BTW, how does it sound with Flats on it (I am assuming Group IIIs)???

Good assumption. And it sounds good. Big, wide tone with the blend knob straight up. Funky and punchy on the bridge pickup alone. I haven't played my HHs lately so it was like - OH, yes, I FORGOT. Yeesh. Just monstrous noise.

I am studiously ignoring the little silver sharpie mark on the volume knob. You KNOW you're not supposed to run these wide open, Ritch! :)

??? About the mark (something I never noticed - come to think of it, I can't think of a silver sharpie being around it)... I almost always run at 60-70% (learned that the hard way after I blewup a GK head with Kermit running wide open) no joke.

I can only imagine that with flats on it. It has a rounder tone than my other Bongos and flats could probably pound holes in concrete. I might have to get me some IIIs to play around with, it has been far too long :D

WOw that little knucklehead is getting big!

I often think of the conversations we had years ago about kids. He was just a baby then and it was hard to imagine him being anything other than my baby. But he's no baby now, just ask him.

Hey, Sterling, I got a BFR! Signed COA and everything!

Good to see the boy with a bongo in his hands.
He isn't the poser though. LOL
