This just in from Maken Music. My complement to Musicman, this is a really well crafted beautiful piece and I am very happy. I also saw another i really liked in a quilted top but this one is great as well

actually getting trans-black right is not EZ. From the EBMM photos I've seen, they did. I've seen many companies, including early PRS, blow it bad.

That being said, i'm not a transblack cheerleader.

Mike,

That's a very nice guitar, I hope you enjoy it!

On another note, I did answer your email (within 6 hours) and you replied saying the above guitar was $X cheaper and was flamed as opposed to quilt. To say I chose not to answer your inquiry is not correct, nor is it fair to slag me like that in your post. It's not my job to be the lowest priced (although my prices are more than fair), it's my job to be the best dealer I can be, and answering emails on a Sunday evening when we are closed kind of fits in that mold.

Very nice axe, though!

Very nice JP, glad you found one you liked, but you could have left off the shot at DuBaldo, that should be private between you and them.

+1 if you have a problem with him you shouldn't take that out in a thread like this.

I have retracted the report but fair is fair. Its not like dealers have people waiting in line to drop large money on guitars in this economy every day

Personally, I like flamed maple tops over quilted tops. Is the back a burst too or just solid black?? Good choice MikeG.

I meant SOME of the EARLY PRS, Baker, HamerUSA, McInturf missed the mark. That one looks like a winner

I look at the BFR's being like a Lamborghini and I don't think a Lamborghini dealer expects a sale everyday either

Mike -

Those are both beauties! I love the BFRs - the tone is amazing! I'm also really digging the knobs & PU rings on your PRS - care to share where you got them? If not, that's cool - I'll live! :D Sweet stuff though - very nice.
