Very nicely written. I think your dad would be very proud of you today Sterling. I look forward to seeing you at NAMM and seeing what is new for the 50th. Here is to another 50 and beyond!

Three adjectives come to mind when I think of my relationship with you and your family:

1. Proud.
2. Honored.
3. Fortunate.

Congratulations on the big (hawaii) 5-0. Ben and I stayed up late, plotting and so on, trying to find a way to make it to NAMM for what we suspect will be a rather Big Event, but it wasn't working out and then I spent the money on a new bass anyway. We'll be thinking of you, though. Miss you, boss.

You have a "Trophy Wife"? I have one of those too........She keeps on telling me that Trophy Wives shouldn't have to do laundry, clean toilets, etc etc

Cheers for the first fifty years and the next fifty years and a smooth transition to the Third Generation.

Very inspiring BP! I had no idea your Dad went broke 3 times trying to make his business successful. I'm glad he never gave up though! I am also happy for Ernie Ball being in business for 50 years. I hope that is only the beginning and the business continues for a lot longer. I also love when you share these different things about your growing up and your Dads history. In the past year I have become an EBMM sponge trying to soak up as much of the history of the company as I can. I also would like to add that I want to do my part to one day get your Dad inducted into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame as well as yourself. That place will never be complete until it has the Ball name in it.

This shows why EBMM is so different from other companies. This is the only commercial organization I've ever seen where the customers are not just happy users of the product… they (we) feel a connection at some level to the people behind the company, and personal admiration for them.

Thank you for sharing.

I am very humbled and gratified to be a friend of your family, Pops. The generosity and kindness of you, Mrs. Ball, Brian, Scotty, and Casey is something I cherish. Truly cherish. Thinking of your company and the friends I have made there makes me smile every time. I brought along some hiccups, but I always knew in my heart that I made the right decision by choosing your friendship; and everyone is happy in the end anyway. Congratulations on 50 years!

Jack and I may still pull a Thelma and Louise and drive through the desert to see you. One never knows.

Love,
Ben
