Hi All,

not posting too often on this side of the forum, but I just bought a Bongo 4HH from IslandBoy (thanks again for the smooth deal, I really appreciate)

I just started to play bass (I was using an epiphone Viola bass) then decided to try some EBMM stuff.

This bass is just Fantastic  Even my wife said she loved the sound of it

I have a lot of fun playing it I know some people consider this bass as very ugly, but I must admit I love it's design

It's perfectly balanced and the sound you get of of it it's just amazing

Thanks again to BP an all at EBMM for creating such and inspiring instrument

Now if I start to own same number the same amount of Guitar and Bass I'm in serious trouble :D

I know that without pics it doesnt exit I had no time to take myself so i will use IslandBoy's one

Bongos are the real deal- especially the five string version which has one of the best B strings on the planet. I bought one a couple of months ago just to try one out and before you know it I was well on my way to bongo #3.

I'm with ya, I'm a new Bongo owner too...mine's identical to yours save for the pickguard. Mine is...well...I don't know the official name is, it looks like a snowstorm at dusk.
Tried mine out for the first time with my Ampeg. I can see now I need a new amp, 'cause the Bongo gives more than the 'Peg can handle. Really lovin' Bongo, no doubt. Wonder why so many revolted against it? Just the body? They probably said the same thing about Stu Spector's line we he brought them out all those years ago. And what about Warwick? Their bodies look like boogers, and people rave about them (although I used to have one..didn't care for it). I wear my Bongo badge with pride, man. I belong. I am Bongloidial.

I just bought my first Bongo as well,Its already getting compliments from sound techs, producers..one guy who does my sound alot, said the Bongo is the "most musical" sounding bass he's ever heard.
Part of it's because it makes me PLAY more musically.
They are unreal, huh?..
The most comfortable feeling 1 5/8" nut width I've ever felt.

Bottom line?.. There are a zillion well made basses available today, but when a bass is so well designed that it makes you play better, and inspired you...
That's something almost magical.
Who CARES what it looks like??.. if it's THAT good?..

My Bongo 5HH gets a lot of work and a lot of love every week and it always sounds fantastic. I had an old school Motown guy come and try it out the other night during a break and he was like "WOW". Especially on the B string. Bongos RULE!
And there is one upside to people "not liking them", there is more for the ones who love them!
