I've added a couple more sound clips of my fretted Bongo to my Bongo page.

This is a work in progress where I'll be changing out samples as I get closer to what I actually want.

The two mp3s added are through my new Phil Jones Briefcase, and are basically what I was doing when I was setting the levels for a clean signal (No thumbs were used while playing during the recording process :p). One of them is just goofiness where I added some effects in Sound Forge for the heck of it.

I also added a link to the complete song with the Bongo from a gig in March with my jazz band.

Let me know what you think.

Oh my ...! You bust a nasty funky groove! Great job and thank you once again! :) :) :D :D

Edit: Oh my ...! x2!! It's the full version of that awesome Bongo clip you first posted! I shall now do a silly dance that involves jumps of joy and groupie-like squeals.

Aw, shucks. Glad you like the new stuff.

At some point, I'll have to post the 9 minute instrument version of "Eleanor Rigby" with my 8 string fretless. ;)

CRAZINESS!!!!!:D
So... how's the Phil Jones??!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

The Phil Jones Briefcase is working great so far. I'm a bit disturbed that the place I got it from has dropped their Phil Jones dealership--I'm hoping it's a distribution/business arrangement problem, and not a problem with product quality. Phil Jones reputation is certainly pretty good when it comes to designing audio gear, so I'm not too concerned, I guess.

But, the PJB sounds wonderful with my acoustic bass, and the pre works great for recording with a nice, strong signal.

Thanks for the kind words. I don't know if you can be like me when you grow up, or not--aren't you supposed to be a king, or something? ;)

Wow! Sounds good...

I love the song with your band...

Thanks nismaniac and Brian.

I'm glad you liked it. We're in the process of recording a cd right now. It's a lot of fun playing with these guys.

I just hope my fretless Bongo arrives in time to make an appearance on the album! Right now, it's mostly the fretted Bongo, my 6 string ABG, and my Curbow 8 string octave fretless.

When you get your cd finished, I'll have to see about buying one from you.
