Sold my Stingray, replaced it with this. Looked all over for an EG 4HH. I think I got the last one!

Nice score, Chris.

I'd be interested to hear your impressions re the diff between the Stingray and the Bongo.

Thanks.

I find that it has a LOT more bottom end than the SR did. I find myself turning the bass down a bit. Also smoother over all, especially in the high end. I had a 3-band SR. I was always turning the treble down, as I found the high end to be quite harsh. But then it would get boomy and lose some of the definition. I've always been looking for an old school SR sound, i.e. Paul Denman, Paul Turner, Bernard Edwards, etc. and wasn't able to get it out of my SR. I find that the Bongo gets that old school SR punch and aggression without the harshness. I would like to try out a 2-band Stingray to see how that compares as well.

Definitely digging the Bongo though. Very versatile, aggressive yet smooth, if that makes any sense. And I love the color! Kudos to the EBMM crew.

Thanks,
Chris

Man, been on the list for 2 1/2 years and still a newbie! Guess I need to start posting!
