Hi All,
Did any of you pick up the new DT DVD? It's pretty neat. Lots of EB content with John and John, great Bongo tones and clips. Instead of a full concert in one venue it's broken up with clips from many different places with interviews/clips in between. (Gee I hope I'm not spoling it for you guys!) The 2nd DVD has lots of backstage stuff. They show John Myungs pedalboard. I recognize his Custom Audio switcher but it looks like he has a MXR Double Shot distortion pedal on there now. At least I think that's what it is., and some other big white pedal. I'll have to take another look. Anyway take care everyone.

I watched the trailer and I must say I'm not too impressed by what I saw (specially LaBrie left me a little down after his amazing performance on Score) but I'm really interested in all the backstage stuff. I'll see if I can find one cheap.

I hear ya. I thought perhaps it was my tv while watching the DVD, but yesterday I listened to one of the Cd's and I must say the mix really isn't that great, very rough sounding. John Myung is way down in the mix and James' vocals sound really harsh. Some of the songs do sound better than others (there were three different producers/engineers I believe) kind of a bummer though .I am big Dream Theater fan. I met all of the guys back in 2004, John Myung was really nice to talk to.

P.S. I took another look at the backstage DVD on John's pedalboard it looks like the MXR doubleshot, MXR EVH Phase 90 and the big white pedal is a Framptone Amp Switcher, plus the Custom Audio switcher for those interested.
