New Dream Theater single just dropped!

Along with an incredible looking “parasomnia” MAJESTY. It has the Majesty logo on the 12 fret just like it did on the NOMAC but unlike the NOMAC they’ve left the rest of the inlay and added the JP logo on the first fret. I absolutely love this. The body color is perhaps the best silver I’ve seen on a guitar and I have to know if we’re going to be able to buy a limited run of these?


So excited for this new era of DT. John is sounding better than ever and this latest variation of the Majesty is everything I could ask for in my next guitar. They majesty’d ALL the things. Check out how badass the new PU look. Can’t wait to hear more about them.

I liked "A view from the top of the world" album more than every other studio album since Metropolis Pt. II (notwithstanding some Jordan Rudess useless circus moments) and I disliked almost everything they recorded since then.
Night Terror it's a good tune...10 minutes that do not annoy and flow fine.
John Petrucci played one of his best solos and the overall sound reminds of past times.
Not one of their best tunes, maybe...But Mike Portnoy just came back and I assume they won't risk too much, preferring to stay on their own schemas for this first "come back" release.
But it could be a great album anyways!

Anyway... any info on that new Majesty? I see new fretboard inlays, new color, new pickups...

Also, for a band called "Dream Theater", they really seem to have some sleeping issues!

Yeah I really dig Night Terror. Like most longer DT songs it takes a couple listens to digest all that’s happening. I still catch something I missed on the last listen and I’ve listened to it a good 10-15 times already. Really excited to see which direction they go with portnoy back. Everyone was speculating metropolis part 3 and now we know that’s not happening. Maybe for the next album. Who knows?

That was my first thought as well. Feels like they’re picking up right where they left off after Portnoy left. It really does have a heavy dark theme and tone to the music. Which I prefer for the band. The majesty used is really interesting to me. Perhaps they made it just for the music video and tour? Or maybe there’s a new celebratory model around the corner? How long has it been since the majesty first launched? We may be nearing an anniversary and if it’s been a decade which it feels like, perhaps it’s a 10 year anniversary model? Whatever it is, I want it. Haha
