My first post here, and I thought I'd introduce my new sweetheart. It's a Super Sport BFR with solid rosewood neck, MM90s in Black Cherry Burst. Picked it up a few months back on the spur of the moment. A few years back there was a rosewood bodied version of this guitar that I almost bought at my local Long & McQuade but let it go and had regretted ever since. I thought I'd never see another one. Rosewood neck with P90s!!??? The guitar from heaven for me. So when I was at L&M a few months back and saw this little beauty on the wall, I didn't even have to think about it; I'd already decided if I ever saw that little lady again, I was going to sweep her up into my arms and apologize later. So this one is not that exact guitar, but it wasn't really the rosewood body cap so much as the neck and pickups that smote me. And I love the colour and quilt on this one very, very much. And wow, the handling, playability and tone are to die for.

So when I get home, I'm on the web googling to find out more about the rosewood necks, etc, not knowing anything about EBMM guitars, and lo and behold I come across pictures of my very guitar (not another one like it, the same guitar) on the 12th Fret's website. The previous owner had had it on consignment there last winter, apparently. So of course, I download every picture they have of it (they take very high quality pictures of most of their featured guitars). Hence, the professional looking pictures of my sweetie!

I am assuming it was one of the special orders EBMM offered back in Nov-Dec '08 where you could order any of their standard guitars with the BFR solid rosewood neck. It says "Custom Made" on the neckplate. Can anyone confirm that this guitar came about as one of those special orders?

Anyway, without further ado, the pictures:

What a wonderful guitar, and an outstanding guitar company. It's a privilege to be part of the family.

Cheers.

Congrats on the new guitar! As Kevin mentioned the rosewood necks are awesome!

They sure are. I've been wanting one since the first time I tried a rosewood neck PRS McCarty some years ago. I love the Music Man's unfinished neck. Not a fan of PRS guitars in general, but I started my quest for a rosewood neck after I tried that McCarty. The MM90s were the deal closer on my ASS; all my electrics are single coil, one with P90s, my lovely ASS with MM90s and one with Gibson P94s.

Nice! Any chance that's Jeff's (Browndog) former guitar? Stunning.
I don't know anything about its history, except that at one point it was for sale @ 12th Fret (witness the pictures). I don't know how long it was at L&M Oshawa, but I can't imagine it was there long, because the price was amazing and it's a killer guitar.

Stunning is the word.
