I assume its not possible to buy a replacement EVH EBMM Neck with Birdseye and Quilted headstock then? I know you can buy replacement partsw but you have to trade in the old ones witht the distributor? What about a blank EVH/Axis neck?

I've seen EVH neck's at SLO but i am not sure what their policy is. I would assume that they keep a very small stock of them for replacements. The EBMM family will be able to provide more information.

They should be along shortly...

Actually we cant help you with a Van Halen neck. Barbara Page, EVH's business manager has refused to allow us to fix them. ....WE always want to make sure that our customers are happy and that their instruments are ok...Maybe she is hoping that you will buy EVH's latest go round instead? who knows, pure speculationI just know that we have asked several times and have been refused.

I don't believe I've ever posted to an EVH thread - and I certainly don't want to turn this into another one, but this guy is really getting to me...I need to vent.

To think of all the time I wasted worshiping this guy in my early years. For soooo many years I blamed the band's original breakup on Roth's ego - Eddie was still my hero. Then the drinking problems started...the singer swapping...then the guitar company swapping...now this.

I don't feel sorry for him and his situation at all anymore. It's all his own fault. Most of our other guitar heros have grown up over the years....Eddie apparently hasn't. Geez....what a child.

Eddies still my guitar hero - I disagree with his business practices and many of his choices, but nobody plays quite like him. As far as this thread goes, it is a shame that his business interests will not allow EBMM to help their customers.

How can Eddie do this - he left Ernie Ball and does no longer own rights ot the EBMM EVH. It was a product sold whilst he was with EBMM. EBMM should have the right to repair existing guitars if they are broken under an after sales service system? Sheezzzz. Come on Eddie?

Maybe call in to that radio show next time Eddie's on, and ask if he'd be willing to fix it for you since you can't get it fixed otherwise.

Ok - lets address this question another way.

Can EBMM provide me or any of its customers with an EBMM Axis neck without the AXIS logo on it?

Maybe someone can help answer this correctly: Are you talking about the "same" neck??

1. Is the Axis neck (post EVH) and the EVH neck the same neck(spec wise) in its entirety (including neck radius as well as the back profile)? If not, what is the difference?

2. Is the neck pocket an exact fit for both necks? Are the screws aligned perfectly?

Ed's too impaired right now and might do more damage than the guitar has. I wouldn't trust him to order me a pizza let alone touch my guitar.

I think that the only reason that "certain person" isn't allowed/desired to be discussed around here is due to the fact that we can't talk about "certain person" without being immature and extremely vitriolic towards "certain person".

Forget that I am Superfan # "certain number" of "certain person"...mature discussion and debate and beer = GOOD. Name calling and ill will towards people, esp. "certain person" = BAD.

Since "certain person" has a friend that hangs out with us, and continued behavior of this nature could change that, I'd say think before you speak about "certain person".

I've already pulled one comment of ill will, I'm hoping it's the last.

The abridged version - There is less than one degree of separation on this board. Keep it professional.

Regardless, over the years, I would guess that at least one EVH neck has needed replacing. I would assume that there are ways to go about doing it that don't violate any agreements between parties.

These guitars are out of production. Myself, if I needed a replacement of a a '62 Jaguar neck, (for explanation purposes only - I am happily F*nderless), I wouldn't expect to get an original production replacement but something that fits the bill.

Just thoughts and speculation. Again, the EB folks will most likely be able to provide accurate information for you and the rest of us that own the instruments and may find ourselves in a similar predicament.
