I'm a new kid on the board, may asking what is Dallas Cutoff event? i'm curious about it. I might be able to join that event since i live in oklahoma. thank you.

Our beloved moderator, bovinehost (alias Lord Bongo or the once and future Jack Williams) and his too-lovely-for-him wife, Erika, are turning 50 and 35 respectively around early November.
They live in the vicinity of Dallas, Texas so they were going to rent a venue and have a big party.. forum dwellers invited. Along comes Big Poppa and decides to hijack the event and throw the party for Jack and Erika on his own dime... and still let any interested forumites attend!
Now the party will feature Jack's band CowPilot, Big Poppa's band "Biff Baby's All Stars" (with Lukather, LaRue and John Ferraro), and the fabulous Knuckleheads, which is comprised of forumites on various instruments and the incredible John Ferarro on drums.
The schedule is something like:
Friday November 3rd - Barbecue, booze and Knucklehead jam session
Saturday November 4th - official B-day party, concert by CowPilot and Biff Baby's All Stars
Earilier in the day on the 4th there will be a master class with Dave LaRue, Big Poppa, and I can't remember who else...
Anyway.. get yourself some airfare and a hotel room and join the fun!
