All the figured maple sounds pretty nice to me, based on the photos I have seen of the Steve Morse Y2Ds.

However, I think Luke, BP and Dudley would have to sit down and decide to embark on the project, and in the end it would be up to Luke to have this done the way he wants it, much like what Steve did with the Y2D.

a pretty tall order.....as the luke's top has a contour

sparkle finishes are VERY consumer unfriendly.......

I like the solid colors on the Luke as they already have some hint of sparkle (with a few exceptions). I say leave the maple tops for the Axis flat tops.

Like others have mentioned, I would love to see a Floyd option on a Luke.

On a side note, are all Lukes currently on order being made w/ the compensated nut?

Call me stupid, but I haven't got a clue what a compensated nut is
Maybe because I'm Dutch? :D
