Many congrats, its such a great axe!

Thanks! I have a sil special that I got on the 'bay, and its easily my favorite guitar. We'll see if this one can steal the crown! BTW, do you know what pickup they use in the bridge on the specials?

as far as I know it is very close to Virtual PAF. It is stock on Silos so I think it is something very similar in Silo Spec

Thanks Philip...I have a Hot VPAF on my 20th anny, and I dig the heck out of it, so that would not bother me.

Hopefully, my guitar comes without the picture of the dude on it:

ROTFL :D

I am also waiting for a Silo Spec, I wasn't so sure about the humbucker but hearing Tristan Klein playing on his Silo Special I am pretty sure it can rock hard if you want it

Yeah, EB needs to put the tristan switch on the Sil Special to increase note output, tone, and chops, but I don't see that one coming any time soon ;) I'm almost sure the bridge pickup on my older sil spec is a PAF Pro, and it can get pretty heavy depending on what amp I run it through. Stays pretty well defined too.

Nice one! Very well rounded guitar, those Sil Specials. The stock bucker is a Virtual PAF, as was said, and while it may not suit every taste, it's hi-mid focus can cut through a board of pedals or a thick band mix with ease, without any ice pick in the ear. It won't get lost in the sauce.
