I found what seems to be a good deal at my local music store but I can't find any info on it.
It's a Music Man Axis in Red Metallic burst with a D-tuna. I can get this for about $900 which seems like a good deal but like i said, I can't find any information on the Metallic Burst. I posted in the Serial Number in the lookup thread. G17315

That's a color that was discontinued probably back around 2003 called Burnt Apple. Very nice color and not a lot of guitars around with that paint job. $900 is a great price...

Oh and welcome to the forum! Stick around.

^ No changes at all from current Axis model....just a discontinued color. Pickups are custom wound Dimarzios and they rock. $900 is a good price for an Axis as long as it is functional and in good shape.

If you like what it is, you will love it.

I went back to look at it this weekend and noticed it had some type of stress or paint cracks in the neck joint :(

That should not be a deal breaker, it's only a stress crack in the paint. A couple of mine have them and it's no biggie.

$900..... :(
('Prices are that much better in the US' wining mode off)

If it is what you want and it plays like you want, get it! Don't let a minor stress crack hold you back.

Hey, u talkin to me? NY
That happens a lot with bolt-on guitars with such tight neck pockets and seamless neck to body connections. As long as it's not through the wood (and inside the neck pocket) it should be fine.
