Welcome aboard Jon! By the way, there is a difference in sound with the rosewood axis vs. the maple top and maple neck (with a maple board) axis'. The other thing about your guitar is that they are no longer being made so, it is a true classic...

the pick ups in the axis' are made for just us...the ones you mention are the closest to what we have without pissing me off! Seriously they are very similar

Thank you everyone and thank you BP I figured they were. I'm sure the rosewood has a big factor on the difference in sound, but it sounds great with these pickups. All I know is this guitar through a Mesa Lonestar is the sound I've always wanted and thats the next fund. Although... I have already talked to my salesman about possibly ordering a DD2 Silhouette (I was already ahead of all of you about being addicted already haha). I'm guessing the Lonestar might be waiting a little longer haha.
