I just got a set of headphones I really like for late night bedroom practice. I did a lot of research and tried a set from my soundman. After that I was hooked and bought a set.

They are the Sony 7506 headphones - considered a classic by many. My Bongo hasn't sounded this good before for quiet practice! The lows and mids and highs are all coming through finally.

If you're in the market for new phones I recommend trying these out.

Glad that You found appropriate phones for practice!

Yeah, it's really hard to find subjective good sounding ones, especially for electric bass frequency spectrum!

I use at home 10 years old AKG's K-100 professional headphones, that was my gear at work before :D ...my boss order every 5-7 years new gear, so we could take some stuff after for private use! (actually I repair it from two broken pairs into this one)

By the way, what is the price range for this Yours Sony's?
