I wouldn't mod it like that, as it isn't difficult to find a trem version anyhow, and as said earlier, the JP6 trem only appears different. Also, good luck getting the bridge itself, because you certainly won't be able to get it from the factory, and to my knowledge there are none available on the used market that don't have a guitar attached :p Keep looking dude, you will find a good one for a low price in no time.

Hello

I own a very nice SUB (2 HH + tremolo). It's really a great guitar.
The first guitar I bought (first, I learned with my brother's guitar, an ARIA PRO II), was an ESP Horizon Custom (from 1987. It was made in Japan, one of the first that arrived in France). I still have this guitar. I have very fond memories with it, but I have to say that the SUB is really better. The SUB tremolo kills the Floyd Rose.
At he beginning, I was not sure about the metal pickguard, but now I am sure it's great (in fact, during the last concert of my band, some people came to talk about it).

Question for you guys. Do you know if the pups are tappable or splittable? I want to put a coil tap on my Sub-1 to get a single coil sound, but not sure if the pups can do it.

I used to own a a blue SUB1 with trem and two humbuckers.
I think the stock pickups are truly rockin'! they sound a lot better than many other pickups I've tried from SD and Dimarzio, they have much more special tone, brighter, crispier and that was the best advantage in this guitar.

The reason I parted ways with it is due to my wishes to a more modern feeling guitar with higher output pickups with different neck profile and frets, and I found it on the Axis SS... The custom Dimarzio there simply sound better to me than their production models.

The pickups on the SUB1 can be split, it's a four conductor wiring in them.
It's a great guitar! I didn't sell mine due to technical issue or any flaw with it, it's absolutely flawless!
