I got and played my new JP BFR today. I don't know - Maybe I am missing something, but I just don't get it. It is no where near as good a guitar as my Jem, and I have a PRS that completely blows its doors off. What is it you guys see in these guitars?

Ohhh wait - that was my recurring nightmare last night ....:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Its unfreakinbelieveable!!! What a beautiful guitar. I do have a Jem and a PRS Cu24 and a bunch of other high end guitars and they don't come close. The PRS plays nicely, and the neck is very similar to the JP, but the JP has such a much better range of tones. I was getting sounds out of the JP in a few minutes that I cant get out of the PRS after 5 years. Ohhh man I am very pleased. I will be playing a pile of guitar over this holiday weekend!

I will get some pics up as soon as I can put it down long enough to take a few.

Wow, you had me going for a second.
I used to be a die-hard Ibanez guy until I bought my first EBMM JP6 (bought it sight unseen and had never played one before). That first purchase lead to 2 JP BFR's and I haven't looked back since.

Congrats on the BFR!

Haha, the thumbs down threw me for a loop. Congrats on the BFR, I'm sure you'll love it. By the way, that trans blue Stiletto you have, is that the one that Dave Weiner owned?

:p

Hey Phil - Yup - good memory. I bought it off Dave a few months back. I had called in sick to work and I was cruisin the Mesa forum and Dave had just posted it. I snagged it. That is a gorgeous head. Its in my band's rehearsal studio - it is the most stable and easily managed of my amps, so I leave it there and use my G System with it. The Roadster is just too freakin complex. I'm gonna bag the Roadster if anybody is interested. The BadCat is my home sweet home amp. I love that 30 watts of pure buttah...

I had a small emergency here tonight and had to zip out. I will get some good pics of the BFR up tomorrow.
