Just wondering if anyone else has their eyes on this? They start shipping next week. I'm thinking of running my piezos through this. Wonder how they compare to the AERs?

I'll be honest here... The EBMM preamp rocks. any hi quality powered wedge really makes it wallop. NO fancy-dancy acoustic amp needed. I use an inexpensive true diversity wireless into a powered wedge and I can't believe it can get any better. I firmly believe when your blending with elextric and playing with full band, you need the headroom more then the finesse'

I'm an Electrovoice nut. I've had these bulletproof boxes for 5 years.
SXa 100

SxA100 line out to PA if you are miking your amps. If you are in a club, without miking, no line out needed

I also have the SxA250, which are even nicer, but 9 pounds heavier.

btw, didn't mean to highjack the thread, but after owning 3 different "acoustic" amps with my JP6 guitars, I always run into headroom probs. I believe the acoustic amps are made for coffee shop applications, not stage use. If you use acoustic amps, you will probably be playing light.

Thanks for the monitor info danny. I play larger clubs and would benefit from your solution.

dreamrycher's baggs amp does look appealing, but since I would go to the PA anyway the monitor approach seems more practical.

I can see exactly where you are coming from here.
But I really do like the sound of the AER - you would always be miking up in larger gigs anyway and it does have DI out?
If they are good enough for Tommy Emmanuel in large auditoriums then they gotta be cutting the mustard?

Horses for courses guys?
I never believed in acoustic amps - hallelujah I've seen the light!! ;)

- and in rehearsal situations they are yummy.
I recorded a clip of the AER - but the crappy camera mike doesn't do it justice.
