I don't find it better, just different.

- The solid lines between posts are visually distracting. If they were light gray, they'd be better. Or gone.

- The "envelope" icons are too prominent; they're way too large for the amount of info they present.

- The little blue circle to the left of the topic is unnecessary; clicking on the topic title does the same thing.

Obviously the software developers thought these things were cool...it isn't EBMM's doing.
