Just read a post that Luke made on another forum...:)

seems we may be seeing a new design Luke guitar..

"I am in a total RE DO right now! In every way. I am redoing my guitar, new pickups, bigger body and also my playing in general"

hope I'm not out of line posting this.... but it is in the public domain...

Yeah- saw that thread- funny stuff.

The thing is, many of the endorsed artists are always trying new things. Look at JP & Morse- been through all kinds of prototypes and changes. I figure if there's a change that sticks we'll hear about it soon enough.

very cool!

i can't wait to see where this all goes and what the gang in Slo will develop!
(and I'm not talking about all the people that will be throwing in their desired wishlist thinking their ideas will actually be considered for production. it's a joke!)

The LUKE is a fantastic guitar as it is, and the EMGs are quite versetile and sound great if you dial in the right tone from the amp. They react differently to the settings than passives...but again, this is personal preference...I wouldnt hold my breath if I were you Meshuggah.

Changes including a bigger body would be quite something, he seems to have been very happy with the existing model for a very long time. The Luke has had the same general specs since it was launched, with the main change since then being the Floyd being replaced with the vintage trem.

Maybe he's got a taste for change since the introduction of the BFR options :)

I'll be interested to see what transpires, for me the Luke is an excellent design already, particularly in BFR guise.

Can't wait to see this new one, if it is released to gen-pop ;). I love the sound of the Luke, it's just too petite for my kinda big body :).

Calm Down....Lukey's heart is on his sleeve....we arent re-doing anything...We are doing what we ALWAYS do with artists...keeping them abreast of what we know and learning where they are...That entails research and development....for every twenty times we do this 2 see the light of day....Believe me I will keep you knucks in the loop!

I didn't mean to stir up anything with this post, I just saw his comment on another forum and I thought it was very interesting.....

sorry BP if I shouldn't have posted it....

I'm just such a huge fan of Luke on many different levels and I'm always interested in anything new from EBMM... :)

<runs and hides> :D

I swear, you can use that joke in ANY thread!
