I was wondering what that meant as well.

A whole new model?

A variation of the current model?

Floyd Rose equipped perhaps? Lol

I kinda took that as he is just getting a "new" Luke III...like a new color or custom finish or something, not necessarily a new Luke MODEL.

Just my thought.

P90-S-S variant would be sweet. or twin P90s. Chambered or neck through wouldn't put me off.

I don't think the P90 is a possibility...we've never seen luke playing those kind of pick ups. He's really into HH for years now..the neck trough idea sounds interresting !!!

Sure that BP is smiling right now because he's reading us and we're all far far away from reality ^^

We may never have seen him playing them but that may not count for much if BP & Co are just working on initial protos. We had no idea JP would be playing a neck through! I reckon the P90s would work well for he Ringo stuff he is doing.

Anyway ... as you said we are all probably getting bemusing on-looks from BP at the moment.

Either way, i'm excited to see what's coming even if it is a shiny new paint job.

Floyd Rose equipped would spark major interest from me.

I would love to see a Luke with:

1: FLOYD Rose
2: Maple neck
3: Tobacco burst for the absolute trifecta of coolness.

Cheers,

Tom

Lukes without floyds are cool, Lukes with Floyds rock!

I subimted the idea of a kimball portrait to Luke and I don't think his answer could be displayed even in a porn website...we're still laughing :D:D:D

I know some people are wanting a Floyd equipped version, but honestly the vintage trem they use on the Luke guitars is really amazing. I think the bridge and trem system on the JP's is even better, but I'm really impressed with the vintage trem system. Can't deny that I love Floyd's though.

A Floyd would increase the body weight and I must say my Luke II is so nice due to the not-too-heavy body weight. But I see the issues with tuning stability across a show. Maybe a Luke with a light-weight Floyd Rose trem?

Can't see Luke going back to using a Floyd now. He briefly used a Luke 1 again on the G3 tour, and can be seen using one for one song on the Live in Poland DVD. But he reported that he kept knocking it out of tune accidentally when he hits the back of the bridge for those Beck-ish slurs.

How about a Luke 2/3 hybrid? LIII body size, but with EMGs, and a fancy top. That would get me nicely into debt.
