Hello there.

Finally i bought aused axis in mint condition.

Some questions

the serial is g27043 - can somebody tell me the date of birth?

Also in the neckplate it says ernie ball musicman custom made - is this a custom piece?

Welcome aboard!

A couple of years ago EBMM offered an upgrade option on the maple tops...if your neckplate says "custom made" your Axis must be one of those equipped with an upgraded top.

Now let's see some pics of that beauty...:)

Ill post pics tomorrow. I used to have gibsons, fendera, jacksons. Esp. Kramer. Ibanez. Dean. Charvels but hell nothing sounded and played like this ebmm axis and i bought it for 1000 bucks only....

Welcome to the forum. I was an ex-gibson man myself - don't touch em now as I feel the EB's are in a higher league.

It would be remiss of me not to chime in while posting and say " no pics - the guitar doesn't exist!!"

It's kind of an unwritten law around here. lol

My Axis doesn't say Custom Made on the neck plate but on the inside of the neck pocket on the body it has the word "premium" written in red. Been trying to find out what it means, any clues?

Before BFR's, Musicman occationally did some custom pieces. There's one local to me on consignment. It's a Floyd'd Axis with a tone knob and painted burnt Apple.
