Hey everybody! :D

Well, it has been about 5 years since I first discovered the glory of the EBMM JP. Things are looking hopeful that I might get to purchase one this year! (hopefully I can find one used )

Anyway, due to monetary reasons, I probably won't be able to get a BFR, so I was wondering if any of you had experience owning both a JP7 and JP7 BFR that could weigh in some advice. I guess I could wait another year and get a BFR, but I am just not sure if that is what I should do.

Anyway, thanks and I look forward to discussing things further with you!

Welcome to the forums Sean!!

I don't own a 7 string but have experience with the 6 string regular JP and BFR's and there are both world class instruments. You will be happy either way.

Good luck in your quest!

You can't go wrong either way. If you want more bling, go BFR. Soundwise they are a bit different, but neither will disappoint.

Welcome Sean!

I can't comment on the difference between the standard and BFR versions, but am qualified to say hello and good luck in your search.

Hello Sean!
I've had no experience with the BFR, but you can't go wrong with the standard, not that there's anything about them! :D

I also agree you'd be happy either way. You won't be disappointed at all with the "original" JP.
