Hello all my good good people.
Ok so this is my first post here and I thought I would start talking about my freakin awesome Bongo 4HS Sapphire black with the not so attractive pearloid scratchplate.
This is my second MM bass as the first was a 4 string stingray 4 in a natural finish. I love the feel and look of this bass.
However I just didnt like the glassy sound due to the really high mids a felt it gave. Being mainly a fender man I wasnt really used to the sound. I further felt that as I didnt like the 'stingray' sound, then there was no point masking it with EQ settings.
So I sold the Stingray and wanted to keep in the MM family so up comes the 4 string Bongo.
An absoulte tonal monster. I love the extra bass I get from this preamp and the sheer grunt and tone sculpting I can do with it. I Like the low mids, however usually keep away from the highs.
Bravo on such a unique and wonderful bass. Big Al SSS here I come hahahaha.
