New mix of a tune from my band (and my SCREAMING JP7's!)

This is a VERY rough unity gain dump of a new song called 'Afraid'.

We recorded this all ourselves. Drums were done in the bandroom to ADAT's. Guitars were done at a friend of my drummer's house where he keeps his Pro Tools rig (they combined their studio gear).

I doubled all the rhythym tracks (one left/one right) and most of the solo stuff.

I posted this song a week or so ago, but this is a new mix with new vocals, sounds a lot better so I thought I'd share again!

Thanks for listening if ya do. :) :D

Thanks a lot dudes! I can't wait until this song is actually mixed and mastered. My drummer has been spending a lot of hours with the vocalist trying to hammer out vocal stuff. He's pretty meticulous. He even goes into Pro Tools and removes all the space between the drum hits when it's not ringing. Talk about neurotic!

All I can say is, I love my EB's! They inspire me to play what I do. :)

Jeffrey,

The riffing in this song is just great! Terrifying guitar tone, too!

I realize it's a rough mix, but it seems to my ears that the doubled lead vocal tracks phase-cancel each other every once in a while. So proceed with caution with those vocal tracks, the song is too good to let anything detract from it!

Yeah, we actually all kind of decided that too. We're removing them doubled vocals from the verse, but leaving it on the chorus as it sounds really cool. Joe's pitch is so good you can't hear both tracks sometimes. :D
