Here's a photo of the new Steve Morse Y2D. If somebody has already posted this I apologize, I'm just a dumb guitar player.

Cheers

Thing is you can adjust pickup height with a guard wheras when mm do it without(luke/axis)the height is set as is- unless you take out the pupand put some foam under it..

Well so much for my stoopid question of the day:

Is the pickguard made of the same material as the top

D'Oh! Anyhoo I like the clear pick guard...Scratches people, scratches!
That is one beautiful guitar!

Colin that is the best picture of the new Morse I believe is in circulation. Where did you find it? Any more pics of the other colours like de-purple burst or the Rosewood Axis where that came from?

Does this mean EB and Steve decided to go with the cream pickups all the way across rather than zebra?

I too Love the look. But I'm a single coil guy. No more Humbucker guitars for me.

I don't think.

Hey, it says steve morse on the pickups. Never noticed that before.

Can anyone from EBMM tell us if and when the first models may actually be in dealer hands for a test drive, and if there is any way to know where they are headed?

Thanks

If it says Steve Morse on it, it's got to be good, albums, guitars etc etc, unless there is a accountant or something named Steve Morse, then die bastard. :p

i never understood the clear pickguard thing tho ... i think guitars look better nekid than w/ a clear pg on

Steve rests his finger on the pickguard. The way I heard it is that he could feel the difference in height on a prototype without the pickguard, and didn't like it.

Scott told me a 4 month minimum when I ordered some right after he got back from NAMM last month. They didnt even have the production tooling made for the guitars, and the cream binding/zebra pups and top contour were still under final development. My best guess of when dealers will have them in stock is late May at the earliest, most likely mid/late June until you see them start arriving.

That pic is great! :D

I dig it. Should have made it a string-through bridge though. I like the colored headstock decals too!

Thanks Pete, maybe you could post when the inventory comes in.

2 hours is nothin --- I drove non-stop to Tennesseeeee with a buddy (left at 6pm) to pick up some parts for my car, shoot the bull for 20 minutes with the seller, and then jump back in the truck for the drive home to be back at work the following afternoon.

:D
