Hey
I have a nice 92 SR and a 2006 Sterling. Both of them, I know the neck feel. I went to a store in my local area to find awsome new stock. I picked up a very nice natural stingray and a natural sterling. I found the neck on the sterling to be thicker than both of mine and the Stingray was wider.
I am I going nuts!!! Both felt very different to me. I know I ve been cheating on them both with my AXIS SS but this couldnt be.
Did EB change the neck shape on their basses? Is there a process that changes the shape depending on wood, temperature, grain or something I cant think of? Wondering if there is cause I thought they used CNC to mill the necks and that would make them all VERY steady and similar.
WONDERING
