Hi all. I'm neil from louisville Kentucky. About a month ago I traded a yamaha guitar for a sterling silo 30D. Damn thing isn't perfect and has its issues, but it plays so nice, feels so good in my hands and the tone! So, I thought to myself, I'm gonna have the real deal. I just got a used silhouette on ebay in mint condition, no scratches or wear, HSH with rosewood fretboard and 24 frets. If it Plays even a little bit better than my silo, and everything I read says it will, I'm going to be in heaven playing it. My other guitars are a 57 custom shop dave murray signature strat. A prs torero with dimarzio tone zone and air Norton. A MIM fender strat with Seymour Duncan pups and a ibanez prestige 1570 with dimarzio D activator pups. Living the dream Y'all. Oh, the problem with the silhouette is, the top strap button came out, the hole was stripped. I had to glue some wood in it, so I could screw in the strap button. The nut isn't cut right, tuning issues. I had to rub in dry bar soap into the nut to get tuning stability, works until I get the nut cut right or just replace with graphtech. Also, the fret ends are sharp, really needs a fret job bad. As is though, it's fast becoming my favourite.
