New Paul Simon!

just picked up the new Paul Simon CD "Surprise"........ man, great CD, really nice sounding recording with help from Brian Eno and Tchad Blake. even though the bass is a little low in the mix

speaking of Paul Simon, I met Lady Smith Black Mambazo yesterday. They played on his Graceland album.

Love Paul Simon and everything he's ever done from Simon and Garfunkel, to his solo work, to the Cape Man controversial musical. How would you describe his current cd? What genre? Is it similar to anything else he did?

it still has that Paul Simon vibe to it, a little more NY neighbourhood feel rather than his past "global" outings. I really love the production and treatments by Brian Eno on this CD. The bass isn't quite as hot in the mix as I'd like to hear it , , but it just has such a nice feel to the entire CD.They might have clips to hear at iTunes if you try.
