I got my new mint green pickguard for the White Whale, and I really love the way it looks.

I still plan to get a tort guard for it at some point, but I think this will keep me happy for a while.

It's nice when you can satisfy some GAS for $26. :)

That axe looks good enough to eat :p

Are mint green PG's limited to Bongers only?

Nope. This isn't an "official" Ernie Ball pickguard. I got it from Bryan Boots who you can find on eBay under the name 'dazbootman.' This is my second pickguard from Bryan, and I can see myself getting some more in the future for my various basses.

I like how the black layer of ply (? I don't know the terminology.) matches with your bass! Muy excellente! :)

I'm pretty sure ply is the right word, and I agree. The pickguard is mint/black/mint, and I think the black ply really makes it stand out better than a straight mint guard would.

Beautiful!! I'm a thinkin' to take your lead...again ;) and see if he's got a powder blue to go with the "on-the-way" blue pearl fretless Bongo.... hmmm

Bryan's selection tends to be a bit more limited than some of the bigger pickguard makers, but I think mint would look amazing with the pearl blue finish...
