Hello all you Ernieballer fans.

Started watching this forum a month or two ago, and thought I would join.

To give a little history: I started playing guitar about 30 years ago. Alot fenders and gibsons. went acoustic with taylor. Got into banjo with stelling and learned mandolin. To make a long story short. I bought an EB Axis and just love it. great product. I was playing with a rock band and we lost our bass. He was really good but I think He wasn't into old rock with old guy's. Our lead guitar started playing bass but I could tell his heart wasn't in it. I was afraid the band was going to break-up so I said I would do it. I went down the music store were I buy all of my stuff and bought a MM SUB 4 stringer active, and an ampeg B115 combo. So I thought to myself bass players were guy's that just could'nt get the guitar going. I thought this is going to be really boring. Still it would be challenge for me just figure out simple bass runs so we could play togather. This is fun. I never thought much about the bottom end becouse it was always there. This is so much fun I went down and traded my SUB for a stingray 5. Sounds great. Now I am a reformed guitar player chuging along on my bass doing what ever I want becouse there is no one to compete with. 1 bass per band.

I think EB makes a great instrument both my Axis and my Stingray. First class and top notch stuff.

PS
I read a bounch of complaints about not getting free strings. EB can sell mine and donate the money for thier cause. Strings are cheep Time is expensive. I have very little extra. When EB starts giving out extra time with new instruments Then I'll put in for that.

Slap me,
LOWSTRUNG

Welcome to the fun, fun world of bass! I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying playing bass. Bass is often disregarded, as you said, due to its basic "supportive" nature. But add slap, tapping, strumming, and a slew of other styles and combos and you got an excellent and ridiculously fun challenge!
