In the beginning...well ok, not that far back.
A couple of years ago, after I bought my first SR5, I bought a GK Neo 1001/212. I loved the power, but it was a little too harsh so I returned it and got a Markbass CMD-102P. I loved the sound, but wanted a little more boom so I added a Markbass Standard 151HF.
About a year later, I put a friend's 410 under the CMD-102P and loved it even more, so I bought an Avatar B410 Neo and traded out the 151HF...very nice.
A couple months ago, I was remembering the punch of the GK that I had and was overcome by GAS, so I bought one. Again, the punch was there, but it just wasn't the sound for me. I returned it for a Markbass SD-800 and paired it with my B410. I was back on track with the Markbass sound, but it still lacked a little punch so I bought an Avatar B212 Neo and...
IMO, it's got the Markbass sound that I love plus the punch that the GK had.
