Hi Everyone,

I have just this morning taken into my posession a second hand Silhouette Special SSS with trem. These instruments are pretty rare in NZ so when the opportunity came around I just had to get one.

It appears to be an older model as it has the grover machine heads, an older style bridge and the colour is a strange metallic green. The neck and fretboard are also showing signs of use as it has discoloured quite a bit. I would really like to know what I could clean it with. Any suggestions?

I would also like to know its DOB. The serial No. is 98404.

Sorry I have no photo's. And I appreciate any answers.

Thanks,

Jon

Welcome aboard!

Can we get a pic on the "official" pics thread?

Hey jops, welcome to the board!

The Music Man FAQ has all the info you need on how to maintain and clean your neck, and I'm sure a moderator will dig up the DOB for you when they get a chance...

Hey Jops!

I'm looking for a silo now too. All these fellow EBMM owners with pics of their beautiful guitars is going to make me extend my future retirement plans. Welcome just the same!

Thanks Guys!

Sorry I don't hav a dig camera or a scanner :( Otherwise I'd love to put a picture up. I'm not certain of the colour name as the EBMM have changed their colours.

Thanks Jimi I found the FAQ's but unfortunately they don't help me much as we don't have those products here in NZ. I went round some local hardware stores and cabinet makers and none could help me :( Looks like it'll have to stay dirty!

Thanks for the great welcome all the same though! :)
