I am the proud new owner of a Silo Special as of this afternoon, to compliment my Axis.

I have never had a guitar with locking tuners - I was hoping someone would school me on how to string it.

Thanks

HI and congrats but it does not exist without pictures, as far as the locking tuners, I had to ask the same question when I bought my first EBMM, it is quite simple and makes string changes a breeze, just loosen the locking tuner and tune down, remove the string and install the new one pull tight and retighten the locking tuner, no wrapping, tune up, repeat all strings and tune the guitar then a half bend on the string and snip, that simple and damn you can beat the hell out of it and it stays in tune. NEED PICS:D

Fingbeagles is right, there are also some instructions for re-stringing on the ernieball website. It is a snap changing strings on these guitars. Another reason to love 'em. :D

Yep - I am enjoying. Just got done cleaning the neck/fingerboard and doing the BK treatment, new strings etc. Will let the neck settle in before I finish the setup.

Question: I am not sure if someone has modified the wiring or not. The pickup switch is set like this:
Position 1: Bridge
Postion 2: Bridge/Middle
Postion 3: Bridge / Neck (?????????)
Postion 4: Middle / Neck
Position 5: Neck

Is that position 3 correct or should it be middle (alone) like a Strat?

Thanks again!

That's the standard EBMM wiring I fear....You can't get the middle by itself
