Bose has a new type of speaker or such out that, according to them, can eliminate all the complications of regular monitor/speaker, mixer, etc. setup. It's called the Cylindrical Radiator loudspeaker.

If you take a look at their demonstrations and such, they claim that these disperse an even sound in a 180° area. So basically, you don't need any of the monitors and speakers because just one of these per musician is good enough to act as both a monitor for other musicians and speaker for the audience.
Have any of you heard about this? Have any of you tried it out? I heard Bose has really good sound products, but this Cylindrical Radiator thing almost seems like a fib. I'm really curious as to how this thing sounds and the ranges it can clearly produce.
