So, I stopped by my local guitar shop (and former EBMM dealer) to pick up my strat which was being set-up, and just had to play this bass. It was brand new and had been hanging on the wall for a couple of years, so they made me an offer I could not refuse...

I think you had a very lucky day my friend, that is just GAW-JIS!!! :D

Why does things like this never happen to a lefty?

... well I did get lucky today myself, I found a lefty upright... but that's different.

Enjoy that beautiful bass!

No matching headstock on this one and no more sparkles. They do have a red SR4 still, which I may go back and get if they can give me the same deal.

Man! Those sparkle finishes are just the cat's meow! So cool. My all-time favorites. I had a black sparkle Sterling and a blue sparkle similar to that one. Like a moron I traded them away...

I wish mine were sparkle finshed now (except the 30th, of course!).

Wow I've never seen that finish before - it's really stunning! Think a plain black or white/white pearloid guard may suit the maple neck better tho. Or perhaps abalone? :D

Congrats on the purchase!

What dealer was that? Cool bass. There is an example of a dealer who probably dropped the line because he couldnt sell this sparkle and if he spent three seconds here it would have been gone
