I know it's far too early to expect the colors to be updated on the instrument pages, so I was hoping one of the resident dealers might have the scoop on the new (if any) standard colors available for the non-BFR/non-Classic instruments.

I see some of them in the pictures, so I was curious as to their official names, and any others that are now available that weren't on display.

There aren't any new standard colors for basses. There are new Classic Collection finishes though.

Thanks for this.

I'm visiting a dealer tomorrow to enquire about ordering a classic collection - are all of these choices available now (or is there a rotation of colours)

From another thread...

The white is a GC exclusive. We will offer something very close to Buttercream (Vintage White) as an option. Here are the finishes available:

1) Black
2) Vintage White
3) Tobacco Burst
4) Mint Green
5) Coral Red
6) Powder Blue

Options:

1) Maple or Rosewood
2) Flame or birdseye

This feels like a very stupid question, but I'm gonna ask it anyway. Is the tobacco burst on the classic Stingray's exactly the same as on the normal ones? :)

Where can I get a complete listing of build codes? They used to be available on EBMM price list sheets. I saw some listed on the Ernie Ball site.

I'm feeling an SR5 in either Coral or Tobacco with Birdseye.

There go a couple more guns and a bass or two from the toy room.

Thanks for that, is the PU and pickguard color optional, say a powder blue bass with white guard/pu cover?

If you're referring to the regular EBMM basses, I saw a Powder Blue Sparkle 4HH and a Black Sparkle SLO at my local GC's. I don't know if these are standard or GC exclusives.

The powder blue sparkle is a GC exclusive. I an not sure about the black sparkle SLO, but I seem to remember them saying something about that one here, too.

I guess I should be thankful that the only options for a Bongo right now are black, black, black, red, blue, and silver. It'll help keep the 6 string GAS in check until something comes along that tickles my fancy. Hopefully, they'll have something interesting available when they announce the Reflex.

I have a couple of questions. One are the classic colors available on a regular Sterling 4HH or HS? Also I saw in one of the pics from NAMM this past week a beautiful finish on a guitar that looked Purple Sparkle, would that finish be available on a Sterling HH or HS?

The classic colors are only available on the classics, and not on the regular instruments. The purple color you saw on the John Petrucci X model is Barolo, and it is only offered on that guitar (as a matter of fact, that is the only color on that model).

Each color comes with a specific pickguard and pickup combo, but you can buy separate pickguards and covers to make any combination you wish.

That's great, and thanks for taking the time to answer all this. Much appreciated.
