I have a migrane, and can't focus too well, but I don't see any sparkle. Are you sure that isn't Black Cherry burst?

It does look an awful lot like black cherry burst.

Nice bass. You will find the Sterling to be a very versatile instrument and well made. The trussrod and pickups turn much easier than my Fender's. That guitar will Sustain almost forever it seems. My favorite position on the switch was the center single coil. Mucho Clarity! Also, big lows and ringing highs are obtainable. I have seen few instruments in this price range that took so many pains to make things easy to operate and use top quality components. Just one piece of advise, when changing strings (especially with Elixers) cut them about 4 inch's past the post.

just got the bass in today and it looks and sounds amazing....im very impressed with the sterling compared to my stingray....the stingray i have is a 2 band eq white with rosewood neck....for some reason, the e string sounds great, but then the other strings sound almost dead....quite a bit less output....anybody know what might cause this??

How does it sound unplugged? If you get the same kind of problem, just change the strings.

Also, post a S/N, so they can settle the bet!
