Hi,
I really can’t believe this, after watching and reading so many glowing reviews about the Sterling Cutlass CT50 SSS.
I really love the neck on this guitar, so I finally decided to have the guitar professionally set up.
Only to have the Guitar Shop return it to me.
They told me that the Bridge Posts that hold the Tremolo Bridge were NOT placed straight.
I’m attaching a photo that hopefully shows the issue. Because the Bridge post is at the high E String is behind the Low E post, intonation is out on the High E. The Saddle is at the most extreme position, hitting the bridge post.
The Guitar Shop told me to send it back to Sterling and see if they have another body.
What a shame.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
And of course the Forum won’t let me post the post. Saying it’s too large at 2.3 megabytes?
Thanks in advance

You can post the picture, you would need to make it a smaller size file. Have you contacted where it was purchased from?

Really sorry for you. I am really surprised it happened. All cuts of that sort are made using cnc nowadays so hard to imagine this. Hope you could post the picture. Also as a sanity check l can you measure those distances yourself? If it is so off you will be able to catch it just with a measuring tape or a long ruler. Really hope you can sort this out.
