There will also be another Sterling JP at NAMM. I found a source.... If Pat doesn't want me to post anything, then I won't but there is another.....

Edit: Do the new ones have the knobs like the "real" JP? and do they also have locking tuners?

Pat, could you tell us how this one differs from the first JP50?

Looks good!

the main differences are cosmetic. The JP60 will have a killer black metallic finish. The picture doesn't really do it justice. The finish has a lot of depth to it and with the matching headstock just looks classy.

The headstock as you can see, has John's signature. The inlays changed to the shield style. The knobs are our version of the JP dome style knob. The rubber band is gone and we have a knurled side to the knob for grip. It looks just like the original. The 3 way switch was upgraded, its a metal switch and feels a lot more sturdier than the previous versions.

Locking tuners. Same high output pickups as before.

I love the JP50, great design. But after 2 years, we felt we could make it a little more exciting by offering the extra appointments.

Body is still basswood, maple neck w/ rosewood fingerboard. We did make the frets bigger, they are now a jumbo fret. The neck feels great.

Now that's sweet. And a great street price, too. Pat, congrats on what's been revealed so far. Looks like it's going to be a good year for the Sterling brand.
