Hi there! I am the proud owner of the a new EBMM Sterling...Orange Tranparent, Maple neck, Serial No.F10013..and I must say she is a beauty!

I've been playing for over twenty years, (rock, funk, etc) but this is my first active electronics bass (I've primarily played Fenders and the like). I just can't get over how clear and powerful the tone of this bass is! You can play chords low on the neck (I mean like 3rd fret low!) and actually distinguish the notes!

During my search, I played quite a few basses in this price range, Rickenbakers, American Fenders, etc, and the Sterling was just superior in almost every way. Although this is the most money I've ever payed for an instrument, I think it was the best investment I have ever made! A few years ago I drfited over to the dark side and started primarily playing guitar at home and leaving the bass for paying gigs, but this instrument has renewed my love affair with the bass...I cannot pass it by to pick up the strat. It is just too beautiful! Even my wife thinks it's cool looking!

Anyhoo, I just wanted to say "Hi" and say "thanks" to BP and the folks at EB for making a quality instrument. You have earned a dedicated fan!

No if I can just figure out how to attach a picture!

Cool Dr. Nick

I am sorry to say you may need to get another bass. It's just the way things happen.

I'm glad you're here and I look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome, Dr. Nick!

Thank you so much for your kudos about your new Sterling bass. I agree, it is a very great-looking and versatile bass, I am sure you will be happy with it for years to come. In case you wanted to know its birthday, its 2 July, 2004.

I think all of the forum guys can help you insert an image, as I'm not too sure how to do it myself. Bovine? Help? Dargin?

Enjoy your bass!

Congrats and welcome aboard!! I feel the same about the quality and sound that has put my Warwick and G&L on sabbatical. What about that neck, eh??!

I have a trans red w/ maple and I have to admit....I giggle like a little school boy when I open the case :p :D

And..now that I am satisfied with this one...they come out with 2 pickup versions to further put me in debt.....sheesh!! :)

bassplayer7770: you have a trans orange too, yes?

Dr

how about some flowmax......just kidding.....welcome and I am espcially glad when someone discovers the Sterling

Anymore hot-rodding of the Sterling would be dangerous and probably illegal! Talk about the feeling of power at your finger tips...I feel like Thor the God Of Thunder with my Sterling...look out, mere mortals!!!!

Do any of you notice how many photos are taken on forumites beds? What would Freud say?

At least it's not my mother's bed...

I'd take better pics, but I just wanted to take a few quick pics. Hopefully, I'll have some live pics to post soon.
