Gentlemen (and Ladies).
A couple of days ago I went into my local Music Store to pick up a Music Man StingRay 4 Case I had ordered via Strings and Things.
Lo and behold there was a fresh flush of Great Looking Music Man Basses and I also saw the Sub Basses for the first time, which seemed truly excellent value for money.
Kudos to Big Poppa for taking on the foreign enemy at their own game and beating them to pulp! The Local Chain of Music Store seem to buy in Large Bulk, so you get lots of this or that make and then long gaps in between where you see nothing at all.
Anyway, the best Music Man Bass they had in stock at the small shop was tried and now has a new owner and home. The thing is, when I buy a New Instrument I usually get all the "Spares" I believe I might need in its lifetime around the time of the original purchase. It's so there are no difficulties in obtaining identical "stock" parts, further down the line, as specifications and suppliers can understandably change over time, with all Manufacturers.
I like to keep Instruments "Stock".
And noticed there seems to be New Improved Design Battery Box on the New "Honeyburst" Bass.
Because I have several different Stingray 4 Basses already, I naturally have a number of the older type "Battery Compartment (M05103) " but I believe I need the new one as fitted to the New Bass, (the type with the Words "Music Man"on the outside of the Box).
I believe the Model Number of the one I want is "Music Man Battery Box w/screws ( M05935)" for the New Bass I just purchased. Please can anyone confirm that to be the correct part number? As armed with that information I can get my Local Dealer to order a few of the New Type to go with all the other Music Man Spares. It's a Stingray 4, 3 E.Q. "H", Honeyburst Bass.
Many Thanks for your help and Very Best Wishes to You All!
