Welcome to the forums. Congrats on goin' to Berklee. I am definately going to agree with the rest of the guys. I was used to playing ibanez rg's and the wizard neck. A Petrucci 6 or 7 string would be a perfect match for ya. The Petrucci neck is very close to the feel of a wizard neck. And the fact that it has a floating bridge without the need for a locking nut is pure genius And it stays in tune without problems. I love mine.
