Hi there,
I've been playing bass as a hobby since 2002. As an inexperienced player I soon bought a Sterling and sold it a few months later because I couldn't get a handle on the pickups and EQ. Boy was that dumb!
Fast forward to 2007. I was shopping for a 5 string bass. Honestly an EBMM wasn't on the radar because I didn't want to "make the same mistake twice". Plus cost was an issue, until I tried out a Stingray 5 HH! Once I tried it I knew it was the right bass for me! I'm petite with small hands and this bass felt the best!
The only word I can describe when playing it is joy. I really feel happy when I play it. It has been worth every penny!
Also, I just bought a Markbass LMII! My previous amp was the Gallien Krueger 400RB-IV. That amp has been great but the LMII gives me the same feeling that my SR5HH does. I hope to add a Markbass cab too, just trying to decide which one!
I play mostly at home and jam occasionally with some of my friends from work occasionally.
I'm very thankful to have a great husband to put up with my gear talk and GAS pains.
And a big thank you Sterling and EBMM for a great bass!
