Hey everyone. I'm a new jack around here, so I figured I'd introduce myself to you guys. I bought my first Ball this past March, a brand-spanking new Luke. Love that guitar! It wasn't the first MM I had ever played, though. I used to rock a friend's Axis back around '99-00. I am absolutely convinced that Ernie Ball crafts the finest guitars in the world. I was an Ibanez man, but now that I've stepped into the world of MM owners, I'll never look back. I'm currently stacking some cash so I can pick up an Axis Super Sport HH sometime early next year, but first I need a new rig. I'm looking at the Bogner Alchemist line of amps right now. I'll most likely go with the 40W head and a 2 X 12 cab. If any one has any advice on the amp front, I'm open to suggestions. See you all around!

I wish I'd discovered EB guitars a long time ago.
Sure as hell play no other now.

Welcome to the forum and as they say ...

Welcome to the family! I concur that Luke's rock. They've sounded fabulous through everything I've played them through and they are easily dialed in.

Hey mate, a hearty welcome, and let us see that beast OK?

I'll get some pics up as soon as I can. Unfortunately, I'm deployed with the military in the Middle East right now and don't have any with me. When I get back home next month I'll post pics of it along with the newest member of my MM family - in the 2 days since I originally posted I've decided to forego my search for a new rig and pick up a new Axis SS! I'll be ordering it on the 1st of January. I've not been able to take my eyes off of a Cherry Burst hardtail since I first saw it. Only 2 weeks and change 'till she'll be mine!! :D

Oh, and thank you all for the warm welcome!

As a fellow service member I think we should cut gorehound a little slack. What say you mates?

What branch are you with? And, if you don't mind me asking, what is a gorehound?

:)

Welcome to the forums. The Axis SS will be a great addition. Not sure if you have any use for it. But, do yourself a favor and get the piezo option for the ASS.

P.S. Stay safe over there and keep your head down.;)

Good lookin' out man! :D Anyway, I'm Air Force, been in for 4 years, and a gorehound is a horror movie buff.

By the way, I figured out a way to get some of my Luke pics while I'm over here. I'll try to get 'em posted tomorrow.

Since you mentioned the piezo, I decided to hold off on the Axis I was going to pick up. I contacted Musician's Friend and they're "researching" whether or not they can special order one for me with the options I want (Cherry Burst, matching headstock, HH, Hardtail, RW board, piezo). Now I get to play the waiting game until they reply back to me... So in the meantime I posted in the WTB thread hoping to get lucky. :)

Yeah....so MF is "researching" to see if they can special order for you. I laughed out loud on that one. :D:D:p:p I'm really hoping they come back and say...sorry no special orders. Ha Ha!!! Of course you can order an ASS with those specs. And it will look killer!!!! If you're looking for another dealer, the guys here can recommend some great ones.
