Hey guys,
a friend of mine has a standard JP6 model and has used it as his main axe for the past couple of years.the guitar has been played to death as he is afull time musician playing a minumum of 4gigs aweek on average.i spoke to him a few nights ago and he was telling me he needed a new tone knob for the guitar.how would one go about buying one?;)

He could just get a regular tone pot from a company such as DiMarzio, or he could call EB Customer Service and order one for the JP6.

Is it really dead, or just crackly? You can use contact cleaner to clean up noisy pots, often that does the trick.

If you need to replace it there's nothing special about the pot in there. Any 500k that fits and has the same kind of shaft will do. Most pots are CTS and you can get them at any guitar store.

im not in the uk,im in ireland my friend.i will get on to him and find out exactly what the problem is and contact S&T in the uk.cheers guys.
