Newbie checking in

Hi Guys

Just thought I would say Hi and let you know a bit about myself.

I have always admired Stingrays and I've just ordered my first. A HH SR4 2007 LE Blue Dawn finish Its due September - ish.

I live in Norwich UK and have been playing bass for 27 years My 'regular' band plays 70s & 80s covers, and we do the wedding/party/summer ball circuit. I also play occasionally with a 7 piece Soul band, a Greek traditional group (damn those 9/8 time sigs , and a folk/rock duo playing our own songs.

Current gear:

Ebass custom 5 string with quilted maple top & leds
Washburn 6 string XB600
Westone Thunder 3 fretted & frettless basses
Washburn Accoustic bass

Trace Elliot AH-1000 + FX unit + Korg tuner racked
2x 1028H cabs
1x 1518C cab
Trace Elliot 715 combo

This forum has help me choose my new Stingray, so thanks to you all!!

Only one prob..... a frustrating wait till September!

Too right! Nearly went for a blue pearl 'til I saw the Blue Dawn. The Wasburn 6 is going to go as (small) part deposit for the SR.

Now loading it up for its last gig with the soul band tonite.

Thanks for the welcome Guys. It seems a really friendly place. Good gig tonight, just in. It was in a big marquee so no room boominess.

Kept thinking all night what the SR would have sounded like...
