Let me guess...
When you lived in Chevy Chase you had a high stress gig.
I live in Bethesda 1/2 mile away.

Nice gear. I have a lady friend who plays percussion in our group. In the three years she's been on percussion, she's acquired a set of congas, a matching set of bongos, an afuche cabasa, a washboard, a shaker, a triangle, a Rhythm Tech tambourine, a cow bell, sticks, brushes, and a friend who was playing guitar with us gave her his 1965 Ludwig snare and a high-hat. And I just bought her a Roland Octapad for her living room. It has made me realize that drummers are no different from the rest of us! I'm speaking here of me, with five guitar amps, two bass amps, five basses, two Dobros, two flat top acoustics and an electric guitar (and it took a real effort to winnow it down to this small core of gear).:D

Welcome to the forum. I was a long-time lurker here (as you can tell by looking at my join date and then the number of posts I have made) but that's because it took years to find the right StingRay at the right price (when I did, it fell into my lap).

Yes, absolutely. I loved my day job, but it was literally killing me.

Now I'm retired, living in a quiet older neighborhood outside of Pittsburgh and all I do is play music. Trading the big house and frantic lifestyle for this is the best thing that I've ever done.
