newbie needs help with tremelo!!!

Hey guys, I need your help. Just got a brand new musisman axis,transparent
blue with flame top. It plays pretty awesome and sounds fabulous but the trem
bar won't swing freely like my other axis(trans-amber w/ flame). I tried loosening
the hex screw on the side of the floyd but it has no effect. Then I tried just
swinging the bar round and round and putting pressure on it while bending
it at multiple angles but nothing happens. I can't stand having to move the
trem bar out of the way. Its funny,I have yet a 3rd guitar(super sport axis)
that has always had the same problem and it doesn't even have the hex screw
in it!!!
I called ernieball/musicman a while ago and spoke to some dude who was
no help. He just said,"well I've never heard of that happening before," like
I didn't know what I was talking about. He said I would have to send it back,
no way!!!! Would loosening the hex screw on the backside/bottom of the
floyd rose work,or screw something up? Guys, any advice would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Have your tried some WD-40? Also got any pictures of this beauty in question?

Nah,but I am thinking of using 3-1 oil. Has this happened to anyone else? Like I said,I also have a super sport and its trem has the same problem! Trips me out,
the guy I spoke to at musicman said he's never heard of that happening!! I
must have some crappy luck. I wanna try to get some pictures of my guitars up
on this site soon. Believe it or not, I'm computer illiterate and barely know how
to post threads,etc... But my girlfriend does have a digital camera and knows
computer crap pretty good. I'll see what I can do. Man,this tremelo junk is really
ticking me off! I just got off the phone with a guy from Floyd Rose and he says
I may have to get a replacement trem bar assembly from them. GOD HELP ME!!

Well, I'm not God, but maybe this will help. If you take the trem cover off, there is a set screw at the bottom of the bar. That might be too tight.

That's what it was, I had forgotten about that screw until about an hour ago. I
loosened itjust a turn or two and it works perfect. Just gotta be careful though.
If I remember right,if ya loosen that screw enough the whole trem bar assembly
can fall apart. Thanks for help guys. And just think; the dude at musicman said
"I don't know what that screw does." Scary,very scary.

Not really, sometimes things get lost in a phone conversation. I'm sure it would have all been sorted out. I seriously doubt that 1 phone call constitutes anything scary.
